Death Has Taken Away An Asset In Oyo Politics, Agba Egbe Mourns, Commiserate With Late Lawmaker's Family, Makinde, OYHA

In a condolence message signed by Mr. Bodija Akinwale, the special adviser to Hon. Yusuff Sahib Oladayo (Agba Egbe) The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government on media and publicity, expresses shock on the sudden demise of the serving lawmaker at the OYHA, Olusegun Popoola who passed away in the early hours of Wednesday at age 46.

The condolence message expressed shock over the death of the lawmaker.

“The late Hon. Popoola  died when his services to his constituency and state were most needed.

“I mourn the demise of a young and active politician who was willingly and ever ready to give his best in service to God and humanity.

“He was a committed and hard-working member, who championed the cause of his people.


“My hearts go out to his immediate family, the people of Ibadan Southeast Constituency 11 and Oyo State over this great loss.

“I pray God Almighty to give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. The state as a whole will surely miss him,” the message conclude

On the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, Ibadan North Local Government boss, Hon. Yusuff Oladayo sahib Agbabegbe enjoins all Nigerians to take advantage of the celebration to supplicate for enhanced peace, security, and progress of the country.

Ibadan North local government Chairman who emphasized the significance of Eid-el-Kabir in strengthening the bond that binds the nation together also urged Nigerians to embrace the virtues of love, charity, and sacrifice as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Mohammed.

Agbaegbe in his Sallah Message felicitated with Muslim faithful and wished them the guidance and blessings of Allah.

He reiterated that “the ultimate goal remains our collective ability to live in peace and harmony in a secure environment, to cherish one another irrespective of religious, ethnic and political differences, for sustainable development of the nation”.

The chairman, therefore, wishes all Nigerians a peaceful and pleasant celebration.

The executive chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon Yusuff Sahib Oladayo (Agba Egbe) has been awarded Integrity Icon of Nigeria (IION) by the Centre for Ethics and Self Value Orientation. 

The organization, IION in the past had conferred the award to high personalities like the Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbanjo, the late Alaafin of Oyo, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker, Federal House of Representatives to mention a few.


Presenting the Award, The team leader, Mr. Salimusa Yakub. According to him, said the group is a non-governmental organization saddled with the responsibility to fight corruption and honor both public office holders and private sector, who have demonstrated the act of patriotism in Nigeria.


A press release by the chairman's special adviser on media and publicity, Mr. Bodija Akinwale made available to newsmen in Ibadan said Ibadan north local government was ranked as number one least corrupt local government in Oyo state and ranked 6th overall in Nigeria.

The head of local government administration, Alhaja M.A Noibi received the Ethics, Integrity Compliance award, along with the leader of the legislative house, Hon. Olaolu, Mrs. A. M Oyewale the Director of Administration and General Services, among others.

Ibadan North Council Boss Agba Egbe Meets With Security Stakeholders

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Yusuff Sahib Oladayo recently had a closed-door meeting with Security Stakeholders in the council area. 
The meeting was held to deliberate on security issues as it affects the Local Council Area.

The Executive Chairman, hon. Yusuff Sahib Oladayo with security stakeholders yesterday in a meeting held at the Council Secretariat.

According to the chairman's media aide, Mr. Bodija Akinwale, the all-important meeting was necessary to deliberate on security issues as they affect the Ibadan North Local Council Area and proffer solutions to them. 

Present at the meeting were officials of the Nigeria Police Force, officials of the DSS, Customs, NSCDC, Nigerian Army, Prisons, Amotekun, and The Chief Security Officers of the two institutions in Ibadan north (the University of Ibadan and The Polytechnic of Ibadan) other community-driven security officers, and community representatives.

The meeting assessed the security status of the Local Government while reviewing strategies for improved security measures across all grassroots communities in Ibadan North local government

Hon. Yusuff Sahib Oladayo has felicitated with the wife of Oyo State Governor, Engr. Mrs. Ominini Makinde on the occasion of her 50th birth anniversary.

On his birthday message, Agba Egbe, the Chairman, of Ibadan North Local Government, described Mrs. Makinde as an amazing grace, virtuous woman, a celebrated mother, and world acclaimed gender crusader.

The Public Relations Officer, Oyo State ALGON hinted that Mrs. Makinde's philanthropic gestures and women's Empowerment programs have contributed in no small measure to the successes of our leader and political mentor, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde's unprecedented achievements.


Agba Egbe noted that as the first lady in Oyo State, the Oyo state Governor’s wife has taken issues bothering on Gender-Based Violence to the front burner of the national and international discussion.

" I joined the government and the good people of Oyo State to celebrate our amiable mother on the occasion of her 50th birth anniversary.
“For those who have been following the developments in Our state today, particularly in Ibadan north local government, Mrs. Makinde had played no small a role in the successes recorded today. She is providing the needed support to her husband, Governor Seyi Makinde, through her numerous people and gender-based programs.
” Without mincing words, I want to say that Engr Mrs. Ominini Makinde, Oyo State, Nigeria are lucky to have this astonishing woman called Mrs. Makinde.”

Ibadan North Council Boss, Agba Egbe Bags NAPS National Award, Visit Alma Mater Doles Out Ten NECO Forms To Students

Chairman, Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Yusuff Sahib Oladayo (Agba Egbe) on Wednesday, June 7, bagged the National Award of Meritorious Service from the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS)

 
The award, which was presented to the chairman in affiliation with the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) was in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the growth and development of Ibadan North Local Government and the educational sector.
 
The National President of the Association presented the award to the chairman said they decided to give him the award because "they have seen his good works in the society."
 
He said the award was to appreciate the chairman for all the work he has been doing in Ibadan North Council Area and also for his contributions to the students.
 
"Sir, we have come here today to appreciate you for the good work you have been doing in the society.
 
"We have seen the good works you have been doing for the people of Ibadan North Local Government Area and the good work you have done for our association. This is why we have come here today to present this award of Meritorious Service to you, sir," the National President said.
 
Responding, the Ibadan North council chairman thanked the students for the award, saying that the award shows that he is being appreciated by the youths, his "primary constituency."
 
He also used the medium to implore Alumni's of various institutions ranging from tertiary institutions, secondary schools, and primary respectively, never to neglect their Alma-mater, stating it is the foundation and a stepping stone to whatever attainments
anyone would get to in life, and therefore at no time should it be neglected 

Further, He promised the students that his doors are always open to them, and he will render any assistance within his power to the student whenever the need arises.
 
"Again, I want to appreciate this honor bestowed to me by the student community. I am not usually swayed by the praises of men. But when you are getting honor from younger people like yourself, it feels good.
 
"Sincerely, with all humility, I accept this award that you have given to me because I know it's something that you have thought through," Agba Said.

In other news, the executive chairman of Ibadan north local government, Hon Yusuff Sahib Oladayo (Agba Egbe) visits almatar, and gives out ten NECO forms to senior secondary students of bashorun- Ojoo high school.

The council boss who paid a visit to the school advised the students to take their studies very seriously, stressing that without proper education they cannot become what they want to become in life.
 
While advising them against any form of exam malpractices, Agba Egbe admonished the students to visualize what they want to become in the future and strive to achieve it.

Lightweight champion Adeyemi Adekanla aka "SPIRIT" has presented his Lightweight title to the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon Yusuff Sahib Oladayo (Agba Egbe)


The Ibadan north-born and trained boxer celebrated his recent victory with the Executive Chairman on Thursday at the council secretariat in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital. 

Welcoming the champion, the Ibadan north chair' said, "It's a pride for Ibadan North and Oyo state as a whole on this feat as a Nigerian champion. I'm a sport-loving person from time memorial and actively in sport too, the more reason we will as a government at the grass-root not stop towards encouraging our youths actively In sports to any length to the best of our abilities"

The meeting had in attendance the Council HLGA Engr. A.J.O Babatunde, The Director of Administration and General Services, Mrs Mosunmola Oyewale, The Supervisory Councilor For Youth and Sport, Hon. Femi Fayemi, Supervisory Councilor For Environment, Hon. Hammed Ibrahim, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Bodija Akinwale, Sport Broadcaster, Legbe legbe among others.
